New Testament and the People of God -- N.T. Wright

This is the book that started it all for me. Blew my categories for approaching Scripture, what it is, how it should be read. His discussion of worldview and bringing in the historical element is awesome. Definitely a must read for anyone longing for a deeper understanding of God, the Bible, Jesus, all of the good stuff. It is not an easy read. I have read it two and a half times and only at the last read did I really begin to pick up on what Wright is really talking about. Right now this is my number one must read for people...who are up for a pretty intense, fairly intellectual, but still understandable and extremely practical read.  Buy it and read it.
